Trump spent approximately three hours at the Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, for a scheduled follow-up evaluation. Navy Captain Sean Barbabella, Trump’s doctor, released a one-page memo confirming that the President is in excellent health, showing strong cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and physical performance.
During the evaluation, Trump received a Covid-19 booster vaccine and his annual flu shot. Barbabella noted that Trump’s cardiac age is estimated to be 14 years younger than his actual age of 79. The assessment was conducted to prepare Trump for upcoming overseas trips to the Middle East and Asia later this month, involving advanced imaging, lab tests, and preventive health assessments.
Although described as a routine yearly checkup by the White House, Trump had his annual evaluation in April. The results indicated that he was fully fit to continue his presidential duties. Barbabella, who also conducted the April tests, reported that Trump had lost 20lb since his previous physical five years ago, attributing his well-being to an active lifestyle.
The comprehensive evaluation in April included assessments of Trump’s brain functions, all of which he passed. While Presidents can withhold health information, Trump’s detailed summary from April included data on his weight, body mass index, past surgeries, mental health screenings, cholesterol levels, and blood pressure.
