Virgin Media has introduced a significant update to its television packages, now offering a complimentary feature that competes with Sky. The telecommunications company has revamped its primary TV and internet plans, bringing in new titles, costs, and benefits.
The starting point is now the M125 Fibre Broadband + Flex plan priced at £30.99. This package includes over 150 TV channels and 132Mbps fibre broadband on a flexible 30-day rolling contract, eliminating the need for a long-term commitment. However, customers might discover better value in one of Virgin’s 24-month contracts.
Virgin has now released the Entertainment bundle at £36.99, which includes over 200 channels, some from Sky, all essential free-to-air channels, and 362Mbps fibre broadband. The standout addition is a complimentary Netflix subscription, a move that puts Virgin on par with Sky, which already includes Netflix in all its TV packages.
Moreover, Virgin has unveiled new offerings tailored for movie enthusiasts and sports aficionados. The Cinema bundle priced at £46.99 and the Sport bundle at £59.99 deliver over 200 regular channels and either Sky Cinema or eight Sky Sports channels, covering popular sports like Premier League, Golf, and F1, alongside 362Mbps broadband and Netflix.
Starting at £30.99 per month, Virgin Media has refreshed its TV and broadband plans, offering a wide range of channels and fibre broadband options.
For those desiring a comprehensive experience, the Sport + Cinema bundle at £69.99 combines these packages with faster 500Mbps broadband. The Max Volt bundle at £84.99 provides similar features but with internet speeds up to 1,130Mbps.
The Max Volt bundle also includes an O2 Classic Plan SIM with unlimited data, minutes, and texts, as well as roaming in 75 destinations. Additionally, O2 Extra offers a choice between a complimentary Amazon Prime or Disney+ subscription for three months.
However, there is a catch as Virgin has adjusted its mid-contract price increase policy. Starting from April 2026, customers should expect a monthly bill increase of £4.
As a result, the £36.99 package will escalate to £40.99 from April 2026 and £44.99 from April 2027. Virgin is not alone in raising prices annually, as Sky raised its TV and broadband prices by 6.2% earlier this year.
While Sky has not confirmed its 2026 price increase, it presents more budget-friendly TV deals for those looking to upgrade without changing their current broadband. Sky’s offerings commence with the Essential TV bundle at £15, providing over 100 channels, including Sky Atlantic, a channel not available on Virgin. Sky also includes complimentary subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+ with each package, including the popular Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle at £35.
However, Sky notes that the prices of its 24-month contracts are subject to change during the minimum term.
