Luke Littler, known as ‘The Nuke,’ has confirmed his participation in the upcoming PDC World Youth Championship after his recent victory at the World Grand Prix. Littler emerged victorious with a 6-1 win over top-ranked player Luke Humphries in the final held in Leicester.

This win marked a significant milestone in Littler’s career, adding another prestigious title to his collection. Following his triumph, the 18-year-old expressed his eagerness to compete in the World Youth Championship, set to commence in Wigan on Monday.

Having previously clinched the tournament crown in 2023 by defeating Gian van Veen in the final, Littler remains eligible to compete in the youth championship, which welcomes players aged between 16 and 23 regardless of their ranking or achievements on the main PDC circuit.

Littler, who refrained from participating in last year’s competition, revealed his intentions to join the youth championship during an interview with Sky Sports. His decision has garnered attention and support from fans on social media, with many anticipating his performance in the upcoming event.

Despite trailing Humphries by a relatively small margin in the PDC Order of Merit, Littler has shown remarkable skill and determination on his path to victory at the World Grand Prix. His journey included defeating notable opponents like Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton before securing the title with a convincing 6-1 victory over Humphries.

Reflecting on his win, Littler humbly acknowledged the challenges he faced and expressed his ambition to reach the top spot in the rankings. With a focused mindset and a strong work ethic, Littler aims to continue his journey towards becoming the best in the world of darts.
