“Ofcom Report: Consumer Complaints Decline in Telecoms”

The most recent data on consumer complaints has been released by Ofcom, shedding light on the performance of broadband, TV, and telecoms companies. Ofcom’s latest report indicates an overall decrease in complaints from the beginning of 2025, signaling an improvement in the industry.

During the second quarter of 2025 (April to June), complaints to Ofcom declined compared to the previous quarter (January to March 2025), according to Ofcom’s confirmation.

Despite the positive trend, there are still notable winners and losers in the industry. EE, owned by BT, ranked lowest in broadband complaints, as confirmed by Ofcom.

On the other end of the spectrum, Plusnet, also a BT-owned company, emerged as the top-performing provider with the fewest complaints in the broadband sector.

Here are the broadband complaint figures:

PLUSNET • 4 complaints per 100,000

SKY • 6 complaints per 100,000

VIRGIN MEDIA • 8 complaints per 100,000

BT • 9 complaints per 100,000

TALKTALK • 9 complaints per 100,000

NOW • 9 complaints per 100,000

VODAFONE • 9 complaints per 100,000

EE • 10 complaints per 100,000

Apart from broadband, Ofcom also evaluates complaints in the Landline, Mobile, and Pay-TV sectors to determine the best performers in each category.

In the landline category, Utility Warehouse stood out with an exceptional performance, recording zero complaints per 100,000. Conversely, EE received the most complaints with 8 per 100,000.

For TV services, TalkTalk and Sky received minimal complaints of 1 and 2 per 100,000, respectively, while EE faced the highest number of complaints at 6 per 100,000.

In the mobile services category, EE, Vodafone, and Tesco Mobile shared the top spot with only 1 complaint per 100,000
