“Alleged Stalker Targets McCann Family in Identity Dispute”

Published:

Amelie McCann testified in court about the unsettling messages she received from an alleged stalker who vowed to do whatever it takes to prove her identity. The stalker, Julia Wandelt, contacted Amelie through Facebook and Instagram, leaving her feeling uneasy.

Amelie revealed that Wandelt believed she was Madeleine McCann, who went missing at the age of three in 2007. The messages from Wandelt made Amelie apprehensive about the stalker’s intentions and the extent she would go to be heard.

Despite Wandelt’s claims, Amelie was adamant that she did not want a DNA test because she was certain the stalker was not her missing sister. Kate and Gerry McCann also testified, expressing their disbelief in Wandelt’s assertions and rejecting the idea of a DNA test.

The trial involves Wandelt and Karen Spragg, accused of stalking the McCann family for over two years, with Wandelt claiming to be Madeleine. The case continues with ongoing proceedings.
