Russia’s Defense Ministry announced on Sunday that they would increase their airstrikes in Kyiv and other parts of Ukraine in response to recent statements made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The ministry stated that Russian forces will escalate attacks on military installations, defense industry facilities, and associated infrastructure in Kyiv and various regions in Ukraine.
In an interview with Reuters, Zelenskyy mentioned that Ukraine would retaliate by targeting Russian oil refineries following Moscow’s new airstrike strategy aimed at pressuring residents to evacuate Kyiv and other urban areas. However, he clarified that civilians would not be the focus of these attacks.
Meanwhile, authorities reported that a fire erupted at an industrial site in Russia’s Krasnodar region due to drone debris hitting the site in the Temryuk district. Three individuals sustained injuries and were receiving medical care, with emergency services actively responding at the scene.
