Paige Bueckers showcased a remarkable second-half performance, scoring all 22 of her points to lead the Dallas Wings to a 94-88 victory over the struggling Toronto expansion team. The Tempo suffered their 10th consecutive loss in the game.

Bueckers, who struggled in the first half missing all seven of her shots, went a perfect 4 for 4 from the field and free-throw line in the third quarter, contributing 13 points to the Wings’ win. Arike Ogunbowale also made a significant impact with 21 points, setting season highs in free throws and attempts by going 13 of 14. Alanna Smith recorded a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Awak Kuier added 14 points to the scoreboard.

Despite missing key players like All-Star Jessica Shepard and top draft pick Azzi Fudd due to injuries, Dallas managed to secure the victory. Marina Mabrey led the Tempo with 23 points, 14 of which came in the fourth quarter when the team made a late push, narrowing the gap to just three points after trailing by 18 earlier.

Bueckers’ stellar performance included eight assists and three steals, with a crucial steal leading to a layup that extended the Wings’ lead to 10 points. In the final minutes of the game, Toronto tried to make a comeback but fell short as Bueckers’ clutch plays kept Dallas in control.

Laura Juskaite contributed 18 points, and Kia Nurse added 16 for Toronto, who were missing key starters Brittney Sykes and Julie Allemand in the matchup.
